Don’t Restrict What Your Cupcake Business Can Offer

Often a customer will ask you for something that you don’t currently offer or hadn’t thought of offering (giant cupcakes, mini cupcakes, parties, lessons etc). This is a good thing!

It will give you a better idea of what else the people who are interested in your cupcakes would like to buy.

This is a great way to make more money from your business as it’s your customers who are telling you what they want!

Here are some things that you might not be offering but could be making money from.

Offering a New Service

If you’re unsure, don’t be too hasty. Take some time to work out the costs and if it’s actually possible for you to meet their requirements.

Ask if you can take their phone number / email address and let them know if you are able to do it or not.

Your customers will be much happier knowing that you’ve been honest with them rather than saying that you can do it and then making a mess of it.

Start by working out how much you’re going to charge for your cupcakes and each specific amount (6,12,24) and have these prices clearly displayed on your website.

This is the easiest way to make yourself more comfortable about discussing money as the customer will already have seen the prices on your website and will already have an initial price for the cupcakes in mind.
